Back to Barry ... How can anyone vote for a man whose wife can't be proud of her own country unless the entire nation elects her husband to the office of President?  Doesn't that give you pause?  Doesn't that make you wonder what she's going to say at state dinners?  Forget the state dinners, doesn't that give you a clue about what's being said at their dinner table?

And, just for the record, how can Obama be the "black John Kennedy" when the real John Kennedy didn't have anything to do with black people?  It was Bobby who pushed for civil rights, folks.  Bobby.  Not his brother - either of them.

Not that I'm 100% on board with Hillary, but I'd take her over Obama or McCain, any day.  I don't agree with all of her proposed policies, but at least she has some that weren't written by Tolkien - you know what I mean?

Which brings us to the point of this column - albeit a little late in the game.  I'm supporting Hillary Clinton for the Democratic nomination for President.  I'm also supporting anyone else who is supporting Hillary Clinton for the Democratic nomination for President, because that's how the game is rightly played.

I want to see her win because I want to see Obama and McCain lose.  I'd also like to see her win because she's a woman for whom I never feel the need to make excuses.  She may not always be right, but it's not because she's completely unaware of what's going on around her.  She works at being responsive and I think that, most of the time, she succeeds - without having to resort to stealing other people's marching songs.

Moreover, I do not understand why any woman would need to be convinced to vote for another woman, no matter what the circumstances.  Thank God these "modern" girls weren't around when real women were trying to stop being listed along with the rest of their husband's property, let alone when they were trying to convince MEN that the brains of women had evolved far enough above those of dumb animals to be permitted to vote!  If getting to this point were up to today's women, we'd all still be getting burned at the stake and the empty-headed 21st century version would be the ones tossing in the kindling while whining that they hadn't been demeaned because they weren't properly being empowered.  I'll tell you what's demeaning to women ... other women who won't support them.  As for empowerment - it's something that you can only do for yourself, so get off of your lazy, "I need time to find out who I am" behind, stand up and be counted on the side that doesn't have something swinging between their legs.

Maybe you think you've got time for this race to be run again, but I don't, so I'd appreciate it if you'd stop trying to act like you're all that and get on board, ladies, because otherwise it'll be YOUR rights that get trashed while you're waiting around.  THIS is "happily ever after" -- but only if you actually DO something to make it that way.

Why Hillary?  For my grandmother.  For my mother.  For YOUR daughter, since I couldn't have one of my own.  And yes, for me, too!
